Rebranding Campaign
In 2018 ICDS was formally known as the 'Institute for Cyberscience' (ICS). However, directors at ICS were worried that the name didn't effectively communicate the Institute's major role in advancing cyberinfrastructure and high-performance computing. So in 2019 ICS became ICDS, Institute for Computational and Data Sciences.
With a new name comes new branding. My task was to create ICDS's brand identity. The goal of this campaign was to better represent what ICDS is, an institute that fosters collaboration and empowers Penn State research with our Roar supercomputer. The deliverables for this project were: logo redesign, brand colors, website design, renaming the supercomputer, and brand guidelines for internal and external documents

Brand Colors
Using Penn State's brand book I chose colors that conveyed the dynamic environment that ICDS was intent on creating.

Webpage Redesign
I worked alongside WPSU to update ICDS's site through WordPress.
Supercomputer Naming
At the end of the branding campaign ICDS hosted a naming contest.
Print Design
Print Design plays a big role in my work responsibilities. Making info heavy status reports, brochures, event signage, and annual reports takes up a large chunk of my day. All print designs are made in Adobe Indesign along with Illustrator and Photoshop.

Swag
Shirt were made for our branding campaign.

Reports
Reports are made through templates I created in InDesign for quick and easy edits.

Flyers
Creating signage for our events is one of my main duties. You can see all graphics I created for our events here.

Video Projects
One of my favorite ways of showcasing all of the fun things happening at ICDS is with video. All video projects are filmed and edited by me. Editing is done through Adobe Premiere Pro, transitions and lower thirds were created on Adobe After Effects, and thumbnails are created in Adobe Photoshop.

Events
ICDS hosts many events throughout the year showcasing and encouraging research collaborations. It's also the time that I get to showcase my graphic design and photography skills. Below are past ICDS event flyers that I created using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Photos at these events taken with a Nikon DSLR and edited in Adobe Lightroom.
